Twilight New Moon Musical Theme Score Is Truly The Sounds Of The Undead
If there is a list of vampire movie that did very well with their musical theme, then I must say that the Twilight New Moon is one of them. So whether you have seen the movie or not, just the thought that it is Alexnadre Desplat who will be composing the musical score should be enough to give you a Goosebumps.
The movie is about the love story of Bella a human being and of Edward a vampire, it is also about the long standing war between the wolf and the vampire clan. So to make the movie more interesting a love triangle between three different species ensued. A vampire, human and wolf all entangles in this vampire cum love story movie. A romantic story made more romantic by a good movie theme song and wonderful orchestra inspired by one of the best composer.
The original twilight movie is a gritty and grungy guitar sounds by Carter Burwell, but now it was totally replaced by a romantic but significant gothic orchestral score piece by Desplat which is unquestionable good by all account. In fact, because of this the New Moon franchise has even more establishes that its theme or musical theme song for the movie is more symphonic and clearly based on emotion.
The combination of piano and strings has created a magnificent performance for a more captivating and heart rendering moments in the movie. Desplat’s score only weakness is the fact that its lengthy passages of volume slowly diminishes, and that the solo piano rendition of the theme “The Meadow” should have been a good addition to the musical score, but was instead included in the film’s album.
Furthermore, those who are into film music collection will find the album lovely and enjoyable to listen, this is of course regardless of the dreadful cover art. In fact, the sound is in the same league with other well-known vampire movie of the past year, the Interview with the Vampire by Goldenthals, Bram Stoker’s Dracula musical score by Kilar’s and the Dracula of 1979 by John Williams. All these score has really shown what a true or what an undead music should sounds.
It is probably the reason why people are calling the movie soundtrack as one of the greatest. Aside from the musical orchestra it also features some of the best artist of the alternative rock and roll music, the likes of Linkin Park, Muse and Paramore. So for the people behind New Moon, you guys surely pick a good play list as all the songs included in the movie surely made for a good single.
So if you found Bella’s heart wrenching moments in the movie really touching and that it somehow make you sad, that is because they have made sure that the movie has a good musical score to make every Bella’s moment truly sad and touching. Overall, the movie is good and so was the movie theme songs and soundtrack. Hence, if you are considering buying the movie soundtracks do not worry it is definitely worth every penny.

The war between the vampires and werewolves continues and evil vampire still continues their revenge with werewolves. Bella, played by Stewart, also has another choice that is between mortality and immortality. Edward, played by Pattinson and Jacob played by Lautner study with Bella. Bella is aware that her choice between the two, her love and friendship carries the potential of igniting a war between them. With her graduation soon approaching, she is forced to make a choice. It is the biggest decision of her life that will change her world forever. The Twilight Eclipse Movie begins with a choice that Bella has to make and ends with her making the final choice of being an immortal.

Like most horror fans, I’m getting tired of seeing loveable sweet vampires that little girls fall in love with. Even if I do find the Twilight movies to be entertaining, I still prefer my vamps to be badass human eaters. So I decided to go see Daybreakers. I’ve been looking forwards to seeing the movie for a while and after viewing the film I have some mixed feeling about Daybreakers. Some parts were really cool and others just seemed silly.

Plot: Earth’s population is up against a vicious plague that’s transforming everyone into vampires and draining the world of an increasingly precious resource: blood. Edward Dalton (Ethan Hawke) and “Elvis” Cormac (Willem Dafoe) must decide what happens next. As the human race count nears zero, will vampires feast on the few men and women who remain, or could science hold the key to a less destructive solution?
As soon as Daybreakers began, it instantly caught my attention. I could tell right away that it was very original and different than most other vampire movies; and I was correct. I have to say that Daybreakers is one of the most original horror films of the last few years, and in a time filled with sequels and remakes, it’s nice to see a original movie. The main reason I wanted to see Daybreakers is because I wanted to see some awesome vampire action, and I did get to see some pretty cool fight scenes. Especially towards the end of the movie when we get to see a all out vampire feeding frenzy. Daybreakers isn’t loaded with gore, but when it does show gore it makes it count. We see limbs torn off, heads pulled off and lots of blood squirting. Some of the gore effects were CGI, and some weren’t. Most of the acting was also pretty good. Willem Dafoe did a good job and I thoughtEthan Hawke did the best he could do with a weak script. The cinematography wasn’t half bad either. Plus the movie has a really badass “Smokey and the Bandit” style Trans am/Firebird in it. And who in the hell doesn’t love a good old fashioned muscle car?
Daybreakers has some good things going for it, but it also has it’s fair share of problems. The first fifteen minutes of the movie were great and really got my attention, but shortly after I started to loose focus. But it’s not that big of a problem since the movie picks back up and gets good again towards the end. Another thing I didn’t like about Daybreakers is the CGI. Some of it didn’t look that bad, and some of it did. Especially the scenes involving fire. The biggest problem I have with Daybreakers isn’t with the slow pace or the CGI, the thing that I hated the most was the way that some of the vampires turned back to humans. I’m not going to give anything away, but I will say that I thought it was ridiculous and very silly. Me and everyone else in the theater laughed our asses off during one scene particularly.
Overall I enjoyed Daybreakers. If you’re tired of seeing movies about friendly vampires and want to see a real vampire movie, and if you can get past a little CGI and silliness, I recommend you go see Daybreakers.

The scam artists responsible for Date Movie, Epic Movie, Meet the Spartans, and Disaster Movie are back with their latest con, Vampires Suck, one of those rare movies with a self-reviewing title. Jason Friedberg and Aaron Seltzer are widely reviled as the most untalented filmmaking hacks in the business today. That the DVDs for some of their previous crimes against cinema have boasted commentary tracks of film critics ripping on how terrible their films are only cements my belief that they are con men that know they’re untalented hacks and don’t care because they’ve found some success with their special brand of cheap, lazy, crudely constructed comedies so depressingly unfunny they leave you longing for the comparatively upbeat nature of a Lars Von Triers movie.
For the remainder of this review I will refer to Friedberg & Seltzer simply as “F&S” for short. F&S is kind of like S&M, except there are actually people that derive pleasure from the pain generated by S&M. If you know anyone that derives pleasure from F&S, those people are to be shunned for the betterment of mankind.
The mental anguish of Vampires Suck began immediately with a hopelessly incompetent opening sequence that wraps around to the climax set at the high school prom. The alleged jokes in this pre-title portion included teenage girls representing “Team Edward” and “Team Jacob” hitting one another with shovels, a naked sparkling vampire with a glimmering disco ball covering his privates, a vampire drinking a bottle of “True Blood”, another vampire applying suntan lotion, and a vampire revealing a single triangular fang like that you’d see on a vampire chipmunk, which, by the way, we will actually get one of later on. By the time the title appeared on the screen I was fully prepared for an experience about as enjoyable as teabagging a blender.
The one thing working in these grifters favor is this time they have an actual structure to build upon (key scenes and plot points from the first two Twilight movies) unlike say their previous sham, Disaster Movie, the first ever full-length motion picture based around parodying scenes from the trailers of movies that had yet to open at the time of filming. Doesn’t change the fact that the best they can come up with still produces fewer laughs than b-roll footage from a snuff film.
Twilight is so rife for parodying yet these two cinema swindlers consistently miss their target by relying on their usual disarray of jokes that are just excuses to make a pop culture reference regardless of its lack of context, jokes that go for lowest common denominator punch lines, jokes they run into the ground even after they flopped the first time, jokes meant to make you groan that still end up doing so for the wrong reasons, jokes that actually require the actors to explain the joke and why it’s supposed to be funny, and I lost track of the sheer number of times I was expected to laugh just because someone got randomly hit hard in the head, face, or back. Even understanding what makes basic slapstick work is asking too much of F&S. They also operate under the mistaken assumption that if someone angrily shouts “bitch” at the end of a sentence that automatically makes the line funny. They even end their movie in such a manner.
Moody teenage heroine Bella Swan, sullen vampire Edward Cullen, and angst-ridden teen wolf Jacob Black have been cleverly renamed Becca Crane, Edward Sullen, and Jacob White. The town of Forks, Washington is now named Sporks. This is as clever as it gets.
“Just your breathing is the greatest gift you could ever give me,” says vampire Edward, crouched over a sleeping Becca. Then she farts in his face and he tumbles backwards out of her bedroom window.
