How to host a True Blood or vampired themed party
How to host a True Blood or vampired themed party
The up surge of vampire fans over the last few years has spurred new fun foods, gifts, party themes clothing and more. I am more than happy to admit that I am a vampire story fan. My fandom is not new though, more than 30 years ago I became hooked on the mystic and coolness of vampires with my introduction to the book Interview With a Vampire by Anne Rice. I’m a fan of the Twilight books, though not so much the movies. It was not until True Blood that I became inspired to create vampire themed party foods, favors, candy wrappers, t-shirts, mugs, popcorn wrappers and party buckets. Since my guest and I had great fun bringing in season three of True Blood complete with foods, drinks and party favors, I thought I’d share our menu and favor design ideas.
1) Create the mood for your party. I went with red light bulbs in the living room lamps, a black table cloth for the table, black plates and eating utensils. I found great True Blood themed invites that only needed to be printed and filled in at http://truebloodwiki.hbo.com/page/True+Blood+Party+Invites, however you can always design your own using your own themed pictures or words. Decide ahead of time if you want your guest to come in their own vampire themed creations or if you will pick a theme from a paticular book or show.
2) Choose the food theme for your party, this will make it easier to create your menu or give your guest food ideas if you are doing a potluck. For my True Blood season three party I went with a Louisiana food theme, which was great as it made it easy for my guest to find potluck food ideas to bring.
3) Choose what style of beverages to tie in with your food theme. I chose to do all blood/vampire themed drinks. All the guest at my party were over 21 so we did drinks with alcohol, like vampire slushies, vampire glamour Jell-o shots and the non-alcoholic Tru Blood beverage.
4) Theme your table decorations to fit your party. There are so many places that have ready table ware complete with the right colors, crazy favors and centerpieces.
5) Be sure to give your guest themed gifts to take home and remember your party by. I created vampire themed candy wrappers, blood dripped martini glasses and bundled them with bottles of the Tru Blood drink.

Info On Prom Themes
Prom is one of the most important occasions in the life of students. It is an annual event which is held at the end of the school year and is a formal event. A prom usually includes music, dancing and food and there are many creative ideas that you can use for making the event more fun.
Before choosing a prom theme, there are some things you have to keep in mind. Firstly, you have the see the general atmosphere of your school and the faculty so that you know which theme would be appropriate and which would not be suitable. Do not choose themes which may be popular amongst a few groups of students only. Always go for something that has a mass appeal and choose something that most people can relate to.
One of the most popular prom themes is one based on a Hollywood movie. If there is any movie which is very popular at the time of your prom then you can choose that as the theme of your prom. Also, you can choose any movie which you think has a mass appeal and would be great for costumes such as Gone with the Wind and Pirates of the Caribbean etc.
Another great idea is to have a prom theme based on books. If there is a popular new book series that is loved by many people in your school then that is a good idea for a theme. For example, a prom theme can be based on the Twilight book series because it is popular and well liked by many students. You can also choose a classic novel for a prom theme. It is also a good idea to choose a book that is currently part of your curriculum because most people will be familiar with it.
You can also have more generalized themes for you prom. For example, you can have a Hollywood theme where people can dress up as their favorite actors or characters. You can also have a Halloween theme or a theme based on a particular genre of music.

Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart – their Twilight Kid?
Twilight Breaking Dawn Brazil and Isle Esme Shoot Footage
The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn production may have moved on to Louisiana from Brazil but that doesn’t mean the book is closed on new from the Rio shoot.
A video has popped up on YouTube with behind-the-scenes footage from Edward (Robert Pattinson) and Bella’s (Kristen Stewart) honeymoon. The footage matches up with photos that hit the web of the pair making their way through a crowd of people in the streets of Rio de Janeiro, as well as beach and waterfall scenes shot on an island that will double for Isle Esme. The latter footage is where all the Pattinson and Stewart swimsuit shots originated.
To see this footage you’ll have to endure spurts of some truly annoying “pop” reporting. That’s nothing for the true Twilight fans.
