Writer of the twilight series, Stephenie Meyer, claims that the idea for Twilight came to her in a dream. Her dreamfeatured a girl who was loved by a vampire, but also thirsted for her blood. Based primarily on this, Meyer decided to create an entire novel, more for her own enjoyment than the rest. She did not actually mean to publish it, but Twilight fans around the globe are extremely pleased that she did.
Fans braved the early morning cold and camped outside theaters, wearing all sorts of Twilight apparel, but most useful were the Twilight Blankets.
