On the other hand, reading aloud to your children is not only the best way to foster a love of books but is also a great way to spent time with. And here are some advisable tips how to do it the proper way:

Choose a book suitable for your child’s age and that you like too.
Choose a time when you’re both ready. Ensure the TV is off and other distractions, such as bath time, are taken care of.
Spend time talking about the cover page to get your child interested and to generate excitement.
Read slowly and clearly, and allow your child to comment on the illustrations. Children tend to be more interested in the pictures and will pick up minute details that adults often miss.
Your voice can also be a powerful tool, so, vary your pitch, tone and inflection to make the characters in the book come alive. Facial expressions will enhance the story.

Moreover, all of these are important to improve a child’s learning abilities as well as writing skills, and that it is important to expose him to the correct and formal usage of language through the published books that he will be reading on his/her own.
