Breaking Dawn is split into three separate parts. The first part details Bella’s marriage and honeymoon with Edward, which they spend on a private island off the coast of Brazil which Carlisle gave to Esme as a present. As you read Breaking Dawn , think about how Bella’s character changes, and whether those changes make it harder for us readers to connect with her.

After spending their honeymoon the island of Esme, Edward and Bella return to the city of Forks. Within no time the fact that Bella is developing within herself a half vampire becomes evident. Edward’s vampire dad, who is a doctor, confirms this fact. Since the birth of a monster is feared everybody shows an inclination towards an abortion but Bella thinks otherwise. In order to save Bella, Edward decides to make her a vampire too and injects his venom into her. The child that shows an unnatural pace of growth within the mother’s womb creates fear among the werewolves. They decide to kill the kid and Bella against the will of Jacob and Seth Clearwater.

The two separate from the rest of the wolf pack and start their own group. Meanwhile, the birth of the monster takes place and Bella loses a lot of blood and gets multiple fractures due to the child. The twist in the story is when Jacob feels the new born daughter of Bella will be his soul mate in the future. The Volturis are again offended by the birth of this immortal child. The changed life of Bella and the way the volturis deal with the immortal child of Edward forms the kernel of the story.

Though there are some ideas about it but I do not feel that it would be a good idea to make it 3-D especially during the birthing scenes. Meyer doesn’t give us a wedding night play-by-play in the novel, but in the next scene, the lovers awake to discover that Edward managed to destroy their bed in the throes of passion. Fans of the book know Edward means no harm, but is there any way to keep this part of the movie true to the story without making it look violent? There has no doubt been a recent trend for the effect in adventure movies, and it would add to the fight scenes. The actors who have voiced their opinion on the matter are not quite as enthusiastic about the possibility. We may have to wait for the Eclipse dvd release date to find out more about the dvd formats.
Can’t you wait for Breaking Dawn trailer, can you?

Review Of I’m Dangerous with Love Movie 2011 part 8

The chase ends in a sylvan perch, where Antonio and Emma make love amid a cacophony of bird calls and a flurry of close-ups of luscious flowers being ravaged by insects. It’s a sublimely beautiful interlude and a touch ridiculous, bringing to mind the blooms of a portentous rose bush in D. H. Lawrence’s “Sons and Lovers” that “expanded in an ecstasy,” a prelude to later forest rutting. Here, the flora and fauna constitute an alternative reality far from the villa that has become Emma’s sarcophag

The Truth About Modern Day Vampires

]]>

Excerpted from an article written for the October issue of the Instant Magick newsletter (http://instantmagick.com).

Stephanie Meyer’s Twilight Series. Vampire: the Masquerade. History channel documentaries about “real vampires.” It seems literary vampires are more popular than ever, and there are more real vampires walking among us than most “normals” ever realized. They are coming out of the woodwork in greater numbers with every passing year – becoming more vocal on the internet, making TV appearances in documentaries, forming houses, holding conventions, and steadily increasing visibility as a community. The vampire subculture is experiencing a revitalization similar to that which Wiccans and the gay community have experienced in past decades. But who and what exactly are the vampires who walk among us?

Modern day vampires are a form of Otherkin. “Otherkin” is a blanket term for a variety of people including many who feel they have a non-human spirit in a human body. Otherkin include vampires and other vampiric beings; therians, which are were-beings like werewolves and were-leopards; faery-kin; angel-kin; dragon-kin; and many other varieties. Vampires are not to be confused with Goths. “Goth” is an artistic movement encompassing a “dark” aesthetic. Some, but not all, vampires are Goths. Some, but not all, Goths are vampires.

The vampire subculture encompasses many varieties of vampiric beings. The major delineations are: sanguine vampires, who consume life energy by consuming small amounts of blood; psy vampires, who primarily draw on psychic, emotional, or magickal energy; sexual vampires, which include incubi, succubi, and leannan sidhe (an Irish faery version of a vampire, succubus, and muse all in one); and of course, the donors, who are sometimes vampiric themselves, but often suffer from the opposite condition, having an overload of energy that they are constantly trying to siphon off.

Vampires are not simply playing a Live Role Playing Game (LARP or RPG) such as Vampire: the Masquerade; nor are they merely people who like to dress up in costume. Such individuals are called “vampire lifestylers.” Lifestylers do not have a physical need for blood or energy to maintain health and well-being, they just enjoy the vampire mystique. There is also a basic difference between vampires, who need energy from an outside source, particularly human, and those who are vampiric, who can take energy from other sources but don’t necessarily need it to survive and stay healthy.

Vampires may suffer from an energy deficiency for several reasons: they may be unable to access the natural, ambient, or universal energy that others have access to without thinking; they may be unable to “digest” or utilize that energy fully, like being unable to make the most of a particular vitamin; or they may naturally expend energy at a faster rate than they can take it in. This tends to be the case particularly with powerful magick users, who find themselves drained and needing to recharge after a big, sudden, or unexpected expenditure of magickal energy.

People who self-identify as vampires do so because they are conscious of what they are, and the vast majority of these choose to live by a set of rules and ethical standards designed to ensure their well-being and that of those around them. One of the best known codified versions of such a set of rules is The Black Veil.[1] Others are in the process of “awakening” or discovering what they are, which usually means taking some time to realize and acknowledge their vampiric tendencies so they can control them properly.

Most vampires are capable of harmless “ambient” feeding, drawing on the excess energy that floats around the room in large crowds of people, who naturally emanate such energy. Others “surface feed,” drawing lightly from several different individuals in a social setting (though many vampires frown on this being done without the individuals’ consent). The most intimate form of feeding is one-on-one feeding from a donor, and this must always be a consensual relationship. Deliberately targeting someone to feed from them without their consent is considered worse than rape by most in the vampire community, and one reason for this is the incredible intimacy of such a psychic connection and energy exchange. Donors often experience a kind of euphoria from sharing energy during a feeding, and many vampires are adept at refining the energy they take in, circulating it through their system, and feeding some of it back to their donor through their connection. Vampires are often donors for each other, especially when each is capable of taking in and using one particular kind of energy that their partner can offer, and easily outputting another, that their partner needs.

I recommend Michelle Belanger’s excellent book, The Psychic Vampire Codex: A Manual of Magick and Energy Work (Weiser Books © 2004) for a more in-depth exploration of the history of the vampire community, and for an introduction to modern vampirism, generally.

[1] One example can be found at Michelle Belanger’s House Kheperu site at: http://www.kheperu.org/modules.php?op=modload&name=News&file=article&sid=41&mode=thread&order=0&thold=0

Sarah Palin’s Black Magic connections

The Republican Vice Presidential nominee, Sarah Palin, is a perfect example of what NOT to do with magic! Anyone is free in the U.S. to practice any religion. Using the techniques of that religion to cause death and destruction is, however, the blackest kind of magic. Praying for someone to die, or praying for natural disasters, is black magic. Any moral person should be outraged. Any true-believing Christian should be doubly outraged these black magicians call themselves Christian.

Summer Literature

]]>

For most teens and tweens, summertime means hitting up the nearest beach, river, public pool, swimhole, or neighbor’s garden hose, depending on your locale. For some, it means traveling, or finally getting around to that oft-dreamed-of roadtrip. For others, it means bulking up in secret to astonish your friends and dismay your enemies. But for an increasing number of students, it means mandatory summer reading. Long gone are the carefree summer breaks of childhood, which stretched on for the better part of an eternity and actually made you miss class ever so slightly. And with a slew of summer blockbusters on their way – not to mention having your own car and the ID required for admission – it might seem doubtful that you’ll manage to get everything done on time. Especially considering how long it’ll take to sew your costume for the midnight showing of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince.

Instead of letting it completely obliterate your will to achieve, try and let Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince help you. How’s that, you ask? This July 15th, when you’re camped outside the theater behind three hundred other people, or hiding out in the bathroom so you can sneak into a second showing, take a moment to think back on how the Harry Potter series made you, your friends, your kid cousin, your grandparents, and, let’s not kid ourselves, even the family dog feel about reading. These books galvanized an entire generation of readers, selling hundreds of millions of copies worldwide and getting translated into nearly seventy languages. The best part of all? You can re-capture the feeling during a runtime of just two hours and twenty minutes, which is way less time than it takes to re-read the book (for us mere muggles, anyway). Meaning you can put this extra time toward – voila! – your required reading list.

While you’re at it, you can put some of these literature resources to good use. With study guides, in-depth analysis, fun facts, and essay-building tools, you’ll see how easy it is to apply your summer reading to what you already know. Take Moby-Dick’s Captain Ahab, for example, who is left disfigured after a nasty incident with a white whale and dedicates his life to hunting the monster down – just as Harry Potter is left scarred by a run-in with Voldemort and sacrifices everything to put an end to his terror. Or Prince Hamlet, who is arguably the angstiest protagonist in English literature and spends most of the play contemplating his father’s murder – just as Harry never fails to remind the gang that his parents were killed and his life sucks. (Let’s be honest: Harry gets pretty whiney for a book or two there.) With a little effort and a touch of creativity, you’ll be cranking out your summer reading in no time.

And of course if all else fails, you can always sneak in a second or third reading of Twilight. Harry will never know.

Angels Set Supernatural Stories Alight

Angels are big at the moment, all it takes is a glance at recent books and films to see it, but this spurt into the spotlight seems very sudden for mythical beings that have been around for centuries. The question of whether angels exist or not certainly isn’t a new one, but it’s one that has recently been finding itself on the lips of more and more people. It seems that curiosity in these winged beings has been piqued somehow, but what is it that has caused a resurgence in the popularity of angels and the supernatural? And what is it that has caused the shift in the representation of angels from the traditional rosy image you see on Christmas cards to the evil, malevolent angels that are cropping up in films like Legion?

One reason is likely to be the fact that people simply like a good scare from their entertainment; why else would terrifying fun fair rides be so popular? Reading about exciting events or watching action packed films can provoke similar reactions in people to them actually experiencing the thrills and spills for themselves and supernatural stories are a perfect way for people to enjoy a safe scare.

Vampires have been top of the chillers chart for quite some time now – think of hit shows such as Buffy or True Blood, but werewolves have recently managed to grab themselves a slice of the action too. The Twilight Saga is a perfect example of vampires and werewolves working together – or against each other – to create an exciting story that’s captured the imagination of fans from all over the world.

British show Being Human also has a supernatural theme and sees a ghost, vampire and werewolf trying to make it in the ‘real world’ together. From TV to the big screen to teen books and adult novels, the supernatural is a hot topic at the moment and the recent interest in angels suggests that the winged beings might be about to move into the spotlight, whether anyone will be able to replicate the success of massive supernatural hits such as the Twilight Saga is another question.

Angels have been brought back the centre of public attention, but the chances are that it’s not just one factor that’s put them there – it’s more likely to be a combination of different social and cultural trends. One thing factor that could be influencing the kind of entertainment people are turning to is global recession; as dark times have descended around the world, so people search for means of escapism. And what’s more escapist than stories about supernatural beings such as vampires, werewolves and angels?

Anyone interested in angelology or supernatural stories will be glad to know that the themes are likely to preoccupy audiences and creators alike in years to come. After all, a good scare is sometimes the best way to find yourself transported into another world for a while.

Misadventures in the Fetish Trade

Quickly, I’ll say that PERMANENT OBSCURITY, the novel by Richard Perez, is a rough, lurid, and kinky story about two dysfunctional women who set out to stay afloat in New York City, artistically and financially, by involving themselves in sleazy Craigslist domination ads and the film/video end of the fetish scene. What makes it odd is that this book is actually intended to be a comedy. And what makes it even more strange is that it’s actually funny.

Welcome, dear Friend,

When do authors of books, writers of short stories and poems get their best ideas? Is there a technique that turns on this tap of creativity?

These are often asked questions and the answer is not an easy one. In the absence of any rules and regulations, I can only speak about my own situation and hope that the following may be applicable to anybody who is creative.

Ideas and sentiments cannot be turned on and off at will, but we are able to condition ourselves to recognise this creative moment when it presents itself. To be ready for this, it is always advisable to have a notice book handy, a clip board or a voice recording device to give permanency to these fleeting thoughts.

Sometimes, it is a vivid dream I wake up with and, recognising it as a good story, I note it down, still in a drowsy state of twilight. This is important because once awake sets in, it is obliterated from consciousness. Sometimes I am able to return to my twilight state and retrieve some more details, noting them down carefully, for proper grammar and wording to be worked on later!

This way, I am able to achieve wonderful poetry, stories with a twist I would have never thought of during the day, or even an interesting idea for another book may present itself. It is wonderful to harness this world of sub-consciousness as it is inexhaustible and everlasting.

Another source of lyrical expression is derived from a state of depression. Deeply depressed people are able to compose poetry or other literary works with remarkable depth and feeling which they are normally not capable of. The danger here is that whilst writing down their feelings, they may be emotionally in a downwards spiral, a very dangerous situation!

During the day, really creative people are able to sit relaxed and shut themselves off from their surroundings and sink in a kind of trance. With pen and paper ready, thoughts are recorded in no particular order and will be worked later into a piece of literature.

These principles, of course, would also apply to cartoonists, comedians, speechwriters, in other words, anybody who needs originality and creativity.

In addition to this, there are other helpful tools to assist a writer. For example, learning new words is a daily must as it increases expression and descriptiveness.

Reading other peoples works is important for mind expansion and increased comprehension. They may be masterpieces or from unknown authors, we will constantly learn and absorb in an ongoing process.

Of great assistance is to have one’s outpouring edited by another, qualified, person to ensure universal acceptance of one’s train of thoughts.

There are of course many more sources of inspirations and I shall mention them in later publications. My book ‘Life on the Road’, for example, is a hilarious recording of real life situations, some are too crazy to be invented,

and I have written them down with an alert ear and eager pen!

PETER FREDERICK
About the Author:

ABOUT MYSELF

For most of my working life I have been in Sales, either retail, wholesale or manufacturer’s representative. Because of this I have met a lot of people from different cultures and organisations and observed their psychological make-up, and how people interact with one another. This has given me a chance to observe and discover some positive and not so positive fundamentals in contact with one another.

During this time an opportunity presented itself for me to start writing, and since then, I have written a lot because of the pleasure I get from writing. I like the challenge of finding the right words to craft the perfect sentences which, in turn, convey a perfect story. .Whilst I have not achieved this stage of perfection, just to think and be able to write down my thoughts, is for me something very stimulating and satisfying.
